Paranoia3 is the latest addition to the range of Paranoia tape encryption appliances. Based on previous field proven tape encryption appliances. Paranoia3 delivers increased speed, AES 256 tape encryption and increased flexibility whilst still maintaining the idea that any tape encryption product should be simple to operate, require minimal management and be easily implemented into your current IT environment, regardless of the type of tape technology and server you use.

• SCSI Configuration

The SCSI Paranoia3 supports from one to four SCSI drives in a daisy chain configuration. Each drive can be configured independently for secure or non secure operation. There is no SCSI ID configuration required as the unit will detect the IDs of the attached drive(s) and these will be repeated to the host systems. When using multiple drives within a tape library the same approach is used as for multiple drives but also the tape library robotics is included in the chain. The Paranoia3 will recognise the library robotics and commands and data to that will not be changed.

Fibre Channel Configuration

The Fibre Channel Paranoia3 supports up to four fibre devices and these can be via a switch or when library outputs all devices on a single fibre channel these can be supported directly. Professional installation is recommended for all fibre channel units where more than one device is to be connected.
