SafeTape units are available with either a variety of IBM, HP, Tandberg and Quantum drives and with a choice of SDLT and LTO drives, and comes in either a rack mountable or desk top enclosure complete with integral power supply. A front panel LCD status display indicates the operation being performed as well as showing the amount and speed of data that has been transferred securely to tape.
Encrypted using a unique dual interlaced encryption mode, tapes produced on a SafeTape unit can only be read by another SafeTape or a drive connected via a Paranoia based unit with the correct user and hardware keys.
